About Us

Meet Dr. Tara

Dr. Tara DeLuco is a pediatric neuropsychologist, licensed clinical psychologist, and certified school psychologist practicing in the Los Angeles area. She specializes in providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and consultation for children, teens, and young adults with developmental, cognitive, attentional, learning, behavioral and/or social-emotional challenges, as well as those with current medical conditions and complex medical histories.

Dr. Tara draws upon her neuropsychological training, and years of experience as a school psychologist, to provide a comprehensive, individualized, and evidence-based assessment and treatment approach.

Education and Training

Dr. Tara DeLuco received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. She then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in School Psychology from the University of Hartford. She practiced as a school psychologist in a wide range of public and private school settings throughout Southern California, while simultaneously pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a health emphasis, from California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP)- Alliant International University. 


Dr. Tara received practicum training focusing on pediatric neuropsychology at Children’s Hospital Orange County and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she conducted evaluations for children with a range of neurological and medical conditions. She also conducted therapy in a private practice setting, treating children with anxiety and mood disorders using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).


She then completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship in pediatric neuropsychology at AMITA Health/ Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in the Chicago area. Dr. Tara subsequently completed a two-year clinical pediatric neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship and served as a Clinical Instructor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU Langone Child Study Center in Manhattan, where she remains a volunteer faculty member. Additionally, Dr. Tara participated in research, conducted trainings, and was involved in community outreach. 


Dr. Tara continues to hold a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology in California. She also holds licensure in clinical psychology in California (PSY32957).
